vitamina b3
  23

VITAMIN B3 Niacin one of the 12 compounds of group B. Vitamin B3, also called niacin, is one of the water-soluble B vitamins. The term niacin derives from nicotinic acid and nicotinamide (or niacinamide). This nutrient helps the body convert food into glucose, which is used to produce energy. Niacin contributes to normal nervous system function and normal psychological function. It also contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Vitamin B3 helps reduce congestion, brighten the skin and achieve a more even tone. It helps repair and restore the skin, thereby minimizing water loss. It is also known to leave the skin soft and smooth. So beware, women! A mild deficiency in niacin levels can cause fatigue and mouth sores. It is corrected by consuming more foods rich in this vitamin. Instead, a severe deficit causes pellagra, a disease that generates digestive problems, dermal, depression, and even dementia. The human body can produce vitamin B3 from tryptophan, but it is simpler to ingest all meats, fish, nuts, dairy, eggs, whole grains, legumes, brewer's yeast, wheat germ, avocado and potato, but high doses of niacin are harmful: they can cause an increase in the level of sugar (glucose) in the blood, peptic ulcer, rash and liver damage.
